Principle
iDrive is the operating concept of the infotainment

functions.
General information
These functions can be operated as follows:

Principle
The iDrive functions are displayed on the Control
Display. The Control Display can be operated using
the Controller, touchpad, and touchscreen.

Opening the main menu
Press the button.
The main menu is displayed.
Selecting a menu
Selecting menu items
1. Turn the Controller until the desired menu
item is highlighted.
2. Press the Controller.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
Remove rear center console trim.
Unlock plug connection (1) and remove.
Press switch trim (2) out of rear center console trim (3).

Removing And Installing Front Left Side Panel
Observe gap dimensions.
CAUTION: Do not damage adjoining body parts.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
Remove front bumper trim.
Remove wheel arch cover at front.
Remove trim for cover on side member.
Remove trim on wheel arch.
Remove gutter strip.
