Pressing the Start/Stop button
switches drive-ready state on or
off.
Drive readiness is switched on when you depress the brake pedal while pressing the Start/Stop button.
Pressing the Start/Stop button again switches the drive-ready state back off and standby state is switched back on.

1. Turn on drive readiness.
2. Apply gear position.
3. Release the parking brake.

Necessary preliminary tasks:
Disconnect battery negative lead
Remove ALTERNATOR
Carefully insert a screwdriver between cover (1) and threaded pin.
Lever out cover (1) towards top.

Removing And Installing Front Left Side Panel
Observe gap dimensions.
CAUTION: Do not damage adjoining body parts.

Remove front bumper trim.
Remove wheel arch cover at front.
Remove trim for cover on side member.
Remove trim on wheel arch.
Remove gutter strip.
