Read out fault memory of control unit of Digital Motor Electronics (DME)
Switch off ignition
Remove design cover, if equipped.
Unlock hose on tank venting valve and disconnect.
NOTE: Solenoid valve (1) controls adjustment unit on inlet side.
IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on protection against
electrostatic damage (ESD
protection).

Remove ignition key.
Disconnect battery negative lead.
Remove flap in luggage compartment panel on right.
